This 3 day desert tour can be added to your resort based holiday from any UK airport at the following resorts: Hammamet, Port El Kantaoui and Sousse. Departure is on the Monday or Thursday of your holiday and travel is by air-conditioned 4 x 4 with driver and English-speaking guide. Tour includes two nights accommodation in 3 star hotels.

Day 1	El Djem/Gabes/Matmata/Douz An early start from your hotel to visit the Roman Coliseum of El Djem, then depart for Matmata via Gabes to first visit the 'spices' market. After lunch, travel to Matmata to see the home of the Troglodyte cave dwelling people. Continue to Douz, the gateway town on the edge of the Sahara desert, for dinner and overnight stay in a 3 star hotel.
Day 2	Douz/Chott El Jerid/Tozeur/Nefta/Tozeur After an early breakfast visit the Saharan oases of Douz, and take an optional camel ride for small extra charge. Leave Douz and cross the Chott El Jerid Salt Lake with a short break to admire the mirages. Travel to the oasis town of Tozeur for lunch. Depart for the oasis town of Nefta and visit the best landscape in the South - The Palmeraie where you have the opportunity to take an optional ride in a horse and carriage. Return to Tozeur and visit the Dar Cherait museum, then check-in for dinner and overnight stay in your hotel.
Day 3	Tozeur/Chebika/Tamerza/Gafsa/Kairouan After breakfast, travel to Chebika village and visit the spectacular mountain oasis. Then Visit Tamerza and its waterfalls. Depart for Gafsa via Redaief and Metlaoui, take lunch and then continue the journey to the holy City of Kairouan. Take in the panoramic view of the Grand Mosque of Kairouan and the medina with its souks. Leave Kairouan and travel north to your resort hotel.
