Pick up from hotels and drive to El Djem for visit to
the Roman Amphitheatre. |

| 10.00 | Drive to Matmata via Sfax and the fishing harbour of
Mehares. |

| 13.00 | Arrive Matmata. Lunch followed by visit to a Troglodyte
cave dwelling and visit a Berber family. |

| 15.00 | Drive to Douz (gateway town to the Sahara) via Gabes
(maritime oasis). |

| 17.30 | Arrive Douz. Walk on the sand dunes and take an optional
camel ride. Dinner and overnight at the 3-star Mehari Douz hotel. |

| Day 2 | Early morning breakfast. |

| 07.00 | Drive to Tozeur via the Chott El Jerid Salt Lake (watch
for mirages). |

| 09.00 | Arrive Tozeur and visit the town and oasis (optional
horse carriage ride) Visit the Dar Cherait Museum then in 4x4 vehicles
to the mountain oases of Chebika, Tamerza and Mides. |
