Independent travellers and students travelling on a budget can travel around Tunisia using a combination of the extensive low cost railway network, public buses and louage taxis. You can obtain a 7 day rail travel pass for as little as TUD45.000 (around £22) in Confort Classe.

Diving: The Coral Coast which stretches from Bizerte to Tabarka provides numerous diving opportunities. Apart from the natural wonders of the warm Mediterranean waters you can find Second World War wrecks. Tabarka is the most important diving centre in Tunisia and you'll find a number of Diving Schools within the resort. The Tunisian underwater depths are healthy, the Posidonia forest, particularly luxuriant and still harbours plant species like the sea anemone. The protected depths of Tabarka have saved from disappearance the inquisitive and friendly groupers who make fine diving companions.
